On August 19, 2026, IMAX announced a third amendment to the employment agreement of Robert D. Lister, its Chief Legal Officer and Senior Executive Vice President, extending his contract through December 31, 2029. His compensation and severance terms stay essentially the same — the real changes involve his unvested equity awards. If IMAX fires him for cause, or he quits without good reason before the end of 2029 without giving six months' written notice, those unvested awards get cancelled with no payout; but if he follows the six-month written notice rule when resigning, or the company fails to offer him substantially similar terms once the contract runs out, the awards keep vesting on their original schedule (performance stock units still have to hit their original performance targets). The full amendment will be filed as an exhibit to the 10-Q for the quarter ending September 30, 2026.
