How AlphaSMO sources, verifies, and corrects the data and analysis published on this site.
AlphaSMO reports only from primary government filing systems — SEC EDGAR (Form 13F, Form 4, Form 144, 13D/13G, 8-K) and the U.S. Senate's Electronic Financial Disclosure (eFD) system for STOCK Act congressional trading reports. We do not use secondhand aggregators, rumor, or unverified social-media claims as a data source. Every figure we publish traces back to a specific, citeable filing, and every page links directly to its source document. Where a filing type carries a legal disclosure lag — most notably STOCK Act congressional reports, which can be filed up to 45 days after the underlying trade — we display that lag explicitly rather than presenting the data as real-time.
We investigate every reported data error and correct validated issues promptly, reflected on the next data refresh cycle. See our full data-quality process, including how to report an error, on the About page.
AlphaSMO does not accept sponsored content, paid placements, or compensation of any kind for coverage of a specific stock, fund, or public figure. We are not a registered investment adviser and do not provide personalized investment advice. Staff do not trade on advance knowledge of unpublished site content, and the data we present is unfiltered — whether a filer is increasing or decreasing a position, the change is reported as-is.
If you believe you've found an error in our data or reporting, or have a tip for coverage, contact us at contact@alphasmo.com with the ticker, institution, or filing in question and, where possible, a link to the source document.
