These terms govern your use of the AlphaSMO website, data, and API. By using this site, you agree to them.
By accessing or using alphasmo.com (the "Site") or its API, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
AlphaSMO aggregates and reports on publicly available U.S. government filings — including SEC Form 13F, Form 4, Form 144, 13D/13G, and 8-K filings, and STOCK Act congressional trading disclosures — combining automated data processing with editorial review, and presents the results as rankings, charts, and narrative summaries. See our Editorial Standards and About pages for details on our sourcing and production process.
Nothing on this Site constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. AlphaSMO is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions, and AlphaSMO assumes no liability for any investment outcome.
The Site's design, original text, and compiled/aggregated datasets are the property of AlphaSMO, except where noted otherwise. Underlying government filing data is public record and not owned by AlphaSMO. Our raw 13F datasets are separately published under open licenses on Kaggle, Hugging Face, and Zenodo — see the About page for links and applicable license terms.
You may not use automated means to scrape or bulk-download the Site beyond normal browsing, use the Site or API for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls. API access is subject to additional terms set at the time of API key issuance; access to congressional trading data specifically requires accepting a separate disclaimer restricting its use to non-commercial research, journalism, and government-oversight purposes, consistent with restrictions under 5 U.S.C. app. § 105(c) — see the full text on your Developer page.
Filing data displayed on this Site originates from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system and the U.S. Senate's Electronic Financial Disclosure (eFD) system. AlphaSMO is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the SEC, the U.S. Senate, or any government agency.
The Site and its data are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlphaSMO shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its data.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to AlphaSMO's place of operation. Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
